UNIQUE PEAKS IN THE WORLD
There are nine mountain groups that shape the Dolomites, with unique and inestimable geology and geomorphology. They are distributed in the territories of five provinces (Belluno, Bolzano, Pordenone, Trento, Udine) but it is precisely in the province of Belluno that the highest percentage of extraordinary peaks are concentrated.
Specifically, in Cadore, there are some of the most legendary peaks such as Antelao (3.264 m), Tre Cime di Lavaredo (2.999 m), Marmarole (2.932 m), Pelmo Mountain (3.168 m), Sorapiss (3.205 m). In the municipality of Auronzo di Cadore, moreover, Cadini di Misurina (2.839 m) overlooks the lake of the same name, while to the west of the town, without going away too far from the area, Cristallo Mountain (3.221 m) stands out imposingly on the wide valley of Cortina d’Ampezzo.
LAKES WITH BREATHTAKING BEAUTY
The Cadore area is also characterized by numerous lakes, the natural magic of the last glaciation. Misurina Lake offers amazement to all visitors also thanks to the magnificent backdrop of Tre Cime di Lavaredo. Auronzo Lake is very popular for its walking and cycling routes, while, between the centers of Pieve and Lozzo di Cadore, there is Centro Cadore Lake, the starting point for various hiking trails.
At Laghetto delle Tose in Calalzo di Cadore, you can sunbathe on the small beach or wander through the woods along a stream with crystal clear water. Although artificial, in San Vito there is Mosigo Lake, immersed in an enchanting panoramic setting.

WOODS AND FORESTS WITH ALPINE CHARM
There are countless woods in Cadore. Somadida Forest, in Palus San Marco, dominates over all surrounded by the majesty of Cristallo, Sorapiss, and Marmarole. Among 1,676 hectares of tall red and white firs, larch, and beech trees, there is an undergrowth rich in flowers where foxes, chamois, deer, and roe deer live.

Un tesoro dalla bellezza incontaminata, in grado di offrire le cime dolomitiche più conosciute al mondo, dal 2009 Patrimonio Naturale dell’Umanità UNESCO, ma anche una costellazione di laghi incastonati tra boschi e piccoli borghi. Questo è il Cadore, un territorio dall’immenso valore paesaggistico e naturale appartenente alla provincia di Belluno in Veneto, dove si mantiene sempre vivo il forte legame con tradizioni e storia.

VETTE UNICHE AL MONDO
Sono ben nove i gruppi montuosi che compongono le Dolomiti, dalla geologia e geomorfologia uniche e inestimabili. Sono distribuiti nei territori di cinque Province (Belluno, Bolzano, Pordenone, Trento, Udine) ma è proprio in quella di Belluno che si concentra la percentuale più alta di cime straordinarie.
Nello specifico, in Cadore sono presenti alcune delle vette più leggendarie come Antelao (3.264 m), Tre Cime di Lavaredo (2.999 m), Marmarole (2.932 m), Monte Pelmo (3.168 m), Punta Sorapiss (3.205 m). LAGHI DALLA BELLEZZA MOZZAFIATO
La zona del Cadore è caratterizzata, inoltre, da numerosi laghi, magie naturali dell’ultima glaciazione. Il lago di Misurina regala meraviglia a tutti i visitatori anche grazie al magnifico sfondo delle Tre Cime di Lavaredo. Il Lago di Auronzo è molto apprezzato per i suoi percorsi pedonali e ciclabili, mentre, tra i centri di Pieve e Lozzo di Cadore, si trova il Lago di Centro Cadore, punto di partenza di vari sentieri escursionistici.
Presso il Laghetto delle Tose a Calalzo di Cadore si può prendere il sole sulla piccola spiaggia o inoltrarsi tra i boschi lungo un ruscello dall’acqua cristallina. Anche se artificiale, a San Vito c’è, infine, il Lago di Mosigo, immerso in un contesto panoramico incantevole.

BOSCHI E FORESTE DAL FASCINO ALPINO
Innumerevoli sono i boschi in Cadore. A dominare su tutti per 1.676 ettari è la Foresta di Somadida, a Palus San Marco, circondata dalle maestosità del Cristallo, del Sorapiss e delle Marmarole. Tra alti abeti rossi e bianchi, larici e faggi, si estende un sottobosco ricco di fiori in cui vivono volpi, camosci, cervi e caprioli.
