5 Days Dolomiti Paganella: record numbers!
Five months after the start of the sixth edition of 5 Days Dolomiti Paganella, there are already 1,000 confirmed participants on the Trentino plateau from July 1-6.
With 14 percent of those registered, Sweden and Norway are the countries, to date, with the largest number of orienteers competing, followed by the Czech Republic (11 percent), Switzerland (9 percent) and Finland (8 percent). In total, 28 nations represented from the 5 continents, including Ukraine, which will participate with a large group of athletes.
Record numbers for the event that will bring a significant economic return on the territory related to the more than 10 thousand total overnight stays in the Dolomiti Paganella area, given the final projection of about 1,500 participants for 7 nights of stay. This unforgettable experience will be possible mainly thanks to a staff of more than 50 volunteers committed throughout the week.
THE YOUNG LEADERS ACADEMY RETURNS
Important confirmation also for the YLA – Young Leaders Academy, which the IOF – International Orienteering Federation has again entrusted to 5 Days and which will see 30 young orienteers, aged 16 to 25, train and specialize in the organization and management of major events. The purpose of the Academy is to support the talent of future generations and support their skills regarding the development of orienteering, as well as an opportunity to network internationally.
THE CHALLENGE AT CIMA PAGANELLA WITH A LOOK AT MONTE BALDO
During the event in Trentino, orienteers will be able to challenge themselves or even simply train with as many as three model events. Particularly compelling is the one planned on Cima Paganella, which can be reached by the facilities agreed for the occasion, and which will connect everyone “virtually and visually” with the north side of Lake Garda and further on Mount Baldo, where an additional 2 days of orienteering are planned at the end of 5 Days.
A slope that, these very days, is preparing to welcome lovers from all over the world to spend unforgettable days with “Lake Garda in Love”. Once again this year, in fact, Valentine’s Day will be celebrated on the shores of Benaco with initiatives, events and glimpses “in love” that will enliven the lakeside resorts of Torri del Benaco, Bardolino, Lazise, Castelnuovo del Garda and Malcesine.

5 Days Dolomiti Paganella: numeri da record!
A 5 mesi dall’avvio della sesta edizione di 5 Days Dolomiti Paganella, sono già 1.000 le presenze confermate sull’altopiano trentino dall’1 al 6 luglio.
Con il 14% degli iscritti, Svezia e Norvegia sono i Paesi, ad oggi, con il maggior numero di orientisti in gara, seguiti da Repubblica Ceca (11%), Svizzera (9%) e Finlandia (8%). In totale, 28 nazioni rappresentate dai 5 continenti, tra cui l’Ucraina che parteciperà con un nutrito gruppo di atleti.
Numeri record, quindi, per l’evento che porterà un notevole indotto sul territorio legato agli oltre 10mila pernotti complessivi nel comprensorio Dolomiti Paganella, vista la proiezione finale di circa 1.500 partecipanti per 7 notti di soggiorno. Questa esperienza indimenticabile sarà possibile soprattutto grazie a uno staff di oltre 50 volontari impegnati nel corso dell’intera settimana.

TORNA LA YOUNG LEADERS ACADEMY
Importante conferma anche per il progetto YLA – Young Leaders Academy, che la IOF – International Orienteering Federation ha voluto nuovamente affidare a 5 Days e che vedrà 30 giovani orientisti, dai 16 ai 25 anni, formarsi e specializzarsi nell’organizzazione e nella gestione dei grandi eventi. Lo scopo dell’Academy è sostenere il talento delle future generazioni e supportare le proprie competenze riguardo allo sviluppo dell’orienteering, oltre a un’opportunità di fare rete a livello internazionale.
LA SFIDA A CIMA PAGANELLA CON UNO SGUARDO AL MONTE BALDO
Durante la manifestazione in Trentino gli orientisti potranno sfidarsi o anche semplicemente allenarsi con ben tre model event. Particolarmente avvincente quello previsto sulla Cima Paganella, raggiungibile con gli impianti convenzionati per l’occasione, che collegherà tutti “virtualmente e visivamente” con il versante nord del Lago di Garda e più oltre il Monte Baldo, dove sono previsti 2 ulteriori giorni di orienteering al termine di 5 Days.
Un versante che, proprio in questi giorni, si prepara ad accogliere innamorati da tutto il mondo per trascorrere giorni indimenticabili con “Lago di Garda in Love”. Anche quest’anno, infatti, San Valentino verrà celebrato sulle rive del Benaco con iniziative, eventi e scorci “in love” che animeranno le località lacustri di Torri del Benaco, Bardolino, Lazise, Castelnuovo del Garda e Malcesine.
