The Brenta Dolomites – UNESCO World Heritage Site

In June 2009, the Brenta Dolomites were proclaimed a World Natural Heritage site. This Dolomite group belongs to the Rhaetian Alps and it is located in the western part of the province of Trento; it stretches about 40 km north to south, and 12 km from east to west. The Brenta Dolomites are characterized by striking rock towers and particularly fascinating natural scenery. The Dolomites area includes:

  • the main towns of Madonna di Campiglio and Pinzolo, two famous tourist resorts, very popular in both the winter and summer ski seasons;
  • the Adamello Brenta Natural Park, known for its biodiversity and numerous opportunities for hiking, climbing and breathtaking views;
  • the Brenta Dolomites massif, bordered by Val Rendena to the west and Val di Non to the east. The highest peak, cima Tosa, exceeds 3000 metres in altitude.

In the 2025 edition of the 5 Days of Italy you will have the opportunity to appreciate this area up close and to live immersed in the nature of a mountain that bears witness to a history at least as old as the Earth.
